She has NO income, No way to support herself. Preachers & family will take over & control her finances (yuck) but at least she has a roof over her head & food & clothes for her kids. A woman in this situation has it yuck either way but it’s fear that makes them tow the line. I personally know of a wife in this situation who wanted to get out cuz her hubby was kicked out. Her hubby said “No, you can’t mess up your membership yet too or we won’t have medical insurance “

Rather than listening out the person and not bringing in traditions of man into the conversation, they’ll immediately say “well the elders or the church says this or that”.
